Which Course is for me?

For General dentists with little or no orthodontic experience who wish to use Southern Cross Dental's treatment review service, to provide high-end, minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry.

Dentists will have their cases reviewed by a Southern Cross Dental clinical expert and submit their Invisalign cases through Southern Cross Dental.

For General dentists with orthodontic experience or who work within a practice where there is one or more Invisalign trained dentists.

Dentists will develop their own treatment plans and submit their Invisalign cases through their Invisalign Doctor Site and Invisalign Australia.

    *It is mandatory to attend this session to complete your training and to be accredited. However, you may begin to prescribe Invisalign treatment to patients following completion of Theory 1 and Clinical 1.

Prerequisites
  • Complete online module
  • Bring a suitable patient that can attend Clinical 1 and Clinical 2 only*
  • Patient must be aged 18 or over and have an OPG and lateral ceph (preferably in a digital format)
  • Intra and extra oral photos of the patient must be submitted to the SCD Invisalign team for assessment to ensure the patient is a suitable candidate for Invisalign.*

    *Refer to Protocol for Enrolment, Patient Selection section.

SCD Treatment Review Services Southern Cross Dental's team of clinical experts review the Invisalign treatment plan and provide guidance to the prescribing dentist. Dentists are responsible for developing their own treatment plans and review the treatment plan via the ClinCheck software, and are able to use the Invisalign Opinion Service and/or Southern Cross Dental Treatment Review.

Course Fee

$3,000 plus GST (includes catering)

CPD Points Up to 30 CPD points are available if you complete the online module and attend all theory and clinical days. Up to 23 CPD points are available if you complete the online module and attend all theory and clinical days.
